Hi Dave: Great site (still exploring it); I've got a big interest in both traditional Irish and traditional American (esp; Appalachian) and working on a new CD (with some guidance from Randal Bays) that includes tunes from both traditions; I've only recently ventured into sessions with my guitar, and am always interested in finding other session guitar players; It's always a bit tricky to play guitar at a session, especially when there are more than one; A guitarist at a session is kind of like those Betta Fish at the pet store --- only ONE of them can be in the bowl at any one time; Anyway -- perhaps I'll see you in the area sometime;

I stumbled across your site while looking for pennywhistle music; I've been utterly thrilled with the find! As someone who's relatively new to the instrument, it's incredibly useful to have access to both the pdf and the midi (since neither my ears nor eyes are quite as honed as I hope they'll one day be); Thanks for taking the time to put this site together; I've been visiting regularly for the last week since I found the site, and expect to continue for quite a while given the extensive list of songs to explore;

Hello David, My brother Patrick provided me the link to your excellent website; The last time I heard you play music was when you were playing Like a Rolling Stone on the piano in your mother's living room back in the 60's; BTW, what was the name of that band you played in in Shreveport in high school? Love the Celtic music;

Happy New Year! I was looking for that Irish Session Tunes of Seattle book on the web when I saw your web site at the bottom of the page, with your name; I said, hey I use to play music with that guy, Dave Marshall, over at Weiser; I went to the Photos, and sure enough, there was Carol, and Chuck and Genevieve; You probably don't remember me, but I use to hang out with Barb Z; in the 80's; I remember once you set the fiddle down and played a wooden flute; You said you had a hard time staying away from other instruments; See you at Weiser again sometime; Nice web site; Wanna build me one? Click my email for details; Anyone have Barb's email address?

Where is that diabolical jig from Lunasa that everyone is playing, the one with "Butler" in the name? I saw it in Clyde's Lopez tune book, but not in your list; ; ;Love the site, and you, too;
